Boot Order for LiveCD/USB

#1 Post by mdclow » Fri Feb 18, 2011 10:08 pm

At the bottom of this mesage is my current Boot Order. I want to know the optimal order to use with the type of tasks I am using. I have a T60 8744-5BU with Win7 32bit

95% booting from 2.5" SSD with Win7 (love the speed of the SSD)
02% booting from 2.5" HDD to try out different OS or software. I clone from SSD to HDD 3 or 4 times/mos as part of my backup strategy
02% Run Ubuntu Live CD to learn OS and have ability to pull of data in emergency
01% want to see if Ubuntu Live USB will run faster than Live CD

One last bit of info, I have a eSATA port in the Express card slot that I would guess is not able to be used as a boot device?
